Tanu Girotra, is a Social Work Professional and she has been working extensively in the field of Healthcare. She holds Master's Degree in Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work, University of Delhi and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights Law (Gold Medallist) from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. She has been a Social Worker, specializing in the area of Medical Social Work for more than 10 years. She is presently working as a Medical Social Worker in Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya, Govt. of NCT. She has also been empanelled as an Academic Counsellor in BSW and MSW Programme in Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU). She is also a member of governing body of Association for Development. She is a brilliant combination of practice and academics. She has 3 books to her credit. It is the regular writing that established her as a distinct personality among the social work practitioners. Her areas of interest are healthcare, animal rights, life skills and social work research.
